These workshops are designed for local government to support community groups (clubs, arts groups or sporting groups) who want to put any kind of event.
Over one day in a stimulating workshop environment, your community groups will explore the why; what; who and how of mounting meaningful, safe and strategic community events. They will explore not only the logistics of how to put on a great community event but will also be provided with practical tips and checklists; and encouraged to explore outcomes, aims and objectives.

Ø WHAT – What kind of event is it; What is needed in terms of support; Scoping the event for planning purposes
Ø WHO – Who are your team; What are their strengths; What support do they need; Where are the gaps in your knowledge bank – and how to fix it; Council support
Ø HOW – Event logistics; Permits; Risk management; Project management templates and check lists; Budgeting advice; Marketing

Workshop length will be determined through close consultation and a focus on the needs of the target community groups. Sessions can be tailored to suit any group and experience level.
